Bible Verse for Today — Luke 8:50
"But Jesus on hearing this answered him, ‘Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.’”
Bible Reflection for Today
Faith is the key that unlocks the miraculous! In this passage, Jairus, a synagogue leader, had just received the worst news a father could hear—his daughter had died. The people around him said it was over. But Jesus, the Son of the Living God, looked at him and spoke these powerful words: "Do not fear; only believe."
Beloved, how many times has life spoken death over your situation? A doctor’s report may have told you there’s no cure. Your finances may seem beyond recovery. Relationships may appear shattered beyond repair. But hear the voice of Jesus today—Do not fear, only believe!
Fear is the enemy of faith. The moment we allow fear to enter our hearts, it paralyzes our prayers and weakens our trust in God. But Jesus calls us to step beyond fear into faith. When He arrived at Jairus’ house, people were already mourning. They laughed when Jesus said the girl was only sleeping. Yet, Jesus took her by the hand and spoke life. And at His word, the dead girl rose again!
This is the God we serve—a God who turns impossibilities into testimonies! When everyone else says it’s over, Jesus says it’s not over! When people declare defeat, Jesus declares victory! He is the resurrection and the life. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Encouragement
Whatever you are facing today, choose faith over fear! Jesus has the final word over your life. If He can raise the dead, He can restore your situation. Don’t be moved by what you see—be moved by what He says! Hold on, keep believing, and watch God work. Amen!
