Devotion for April 13, 2025

Dear friends, the Bible shows us that when God encountered Paul, his life was completely transformed. After his conversion, Paul lived a life of complete surrender, just like our Lord Jesus Christ, who often spent entire nights in prayer and preached the Kingdom of God during the day. Paul did the same—praying fervently, preaching the Gospel, and healing the sick. God worked unusual miracles through his hands. Even when cloths or handkerchiefs that had touched him were placed on the sick, they were healed, and evil spirits left them.

We see a similar example in Peter and John. When they were on their way to the temple to pray, God used them to heal a lame beggar and set his soul free. But today, many believers are not seeing such power manifest through their lives. They are not being used to set people free or win souls for God's Kingdom. Why? Because they are too busy with the cares of this world. They don't have time for prayer, they don’t read the Word, and they rarely focus on the work of the Kingdom.

This is why many believers are not experiencing the extraordinary works that Paul or the early apostles witnessed. They may desire to be used by God, but without a prayer life and without time in the Word, that desire remains fruitless.

Dear reader, God still wants to use people today just like He used Jesus, Paul, Peter, and John. But the key is your personal walk with Him. If you dedicate your life to prayer like Jesus, preach the Gospel like Paul, and remain faithful in your devotion, then God will use you to display His glory. He will work extraordinary miracles through your life too.

Prayer for April 13, 2025

"Almighty God, I thank You for this Word. Today I confess and declare that I will set aside time for prayer and reading Your Word. I commit to build a strong relationship with You so that You can use me for Your glory. Use me for Your mighty works just as You used Paul. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
