Today's bible verse is: James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
What is God telling me today?
Life can feel like a foggy road sometimes—curves and shadows ahead, no clear sign of where to step next. We wrestle with decisions, big and small, wondering if we’ll choose right or stumble hard. James 1:5 cuts through that haze like a steady hand reaching down. God doesn’t just offer wisdom; He gives generously, no strings attached, no scolding for not figuring it out ourselves. Isn’t that a relief?
Think about Solomon in 1 Kings 3—he asked for wisdom to lead, and God poured it out beyond what he could’ve dreamed. The same God listens when we cry out, unsure and shaky. He’s not distant or stingy; He’s near, ready to guide. But asking takes trust—letting go of our pride, admitting we don’t have it all together. And that’s okay.
Next time uncertainty creeps in, pause. Lift it up to Him. He’s already waiting to meet you there. What’s stopping you from asking today?
Let's pray today
Lord, You see me—the mess, the questions, the quiet fears I don’t always say out loud. Thank You for being the God who gives generously, who doesn’t turn me away when I’m lost. I need Your wisdom now—steady my heart, clear my mind. Teach me to trust You more than my own fumbling plans. Like Solomon, I’m asking for what only You can give, believing You’ll answer beyond what I can see. Hold me close when I waver, and let Your peace guide my steps. For every soul reading this, pour out Your grace—lift us up to seek You first. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
