March 31, 2025 - Bible verse of the day - Revelation 21:4

morning devotion bible verses

Today's bible verse is: Revelation 21:4

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

What is God telling me today?

There are days when the ache feels endless—grief that won’t let go, pain that doesn’t pause, prayers that seem unanswered.

Revelation 21:4 doesn’t ignore that pain. It meets it with a quiet, steady promise: It will not last forever. God sees every tear, every loss, every long night. And He’s already writing the final chapter—one where sorrow has no place and death is no more.

But here, in the middle of waiting, it’s hard to hold on. We’re living in the “now” while longing for the “not yet.” Romans 8:18 reminds us, “The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed.” Still, some days, it feels like glory is a world away.

So we hold fast. Not to what we see, but to who God is—faithful, tender, near. He’s not distant from our pain; He enters it with us. And one day, with His own hand, He will wipe every tear.

What hope are you clinging to while you wait for God to make all things new?

Let's pray today

Lord, You see the broken places I try to hide. You hear the cries I can’t put into words. Thank You for being a God who doesn’t rush past my pain but promises to redeem it.

In the waiting, give me the strength to hope. When I’m weary, help me remember that this world is not the end of the story. You are preparing something greater—something eternal, beautiful, whole.

Until that day, steady my heart. Remind me that You are near, even when life feels undone. Wipe away the lies with Your truth, and anchor me in Your faithful love.

Amen.
