Today's bible verse is: Micah 7:7
"But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me."
What is God telling me today?
Waiting isn’t easy. Life throws curveballs—unanswered prayers, lingering doubts, seasons that stretch on too long. Micah’s words hit me square in the chest: “I watch in hope.” Not despair. Not frustration. Hope. He’s standing there, eyes fixed on God, trusting that the Savior hears him even when silence lingers. I’ve been there—pacing, wondering if God’s forgotten me. Maybe you have too.
But this verse whispers a promise: God isn’t distant. He’s the Savior who bends low to listen. Psalm 34:17 says, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them.” That’s not a maybe—it’s a certainty. Micah’s faith wasn’t blind; it was battle-tested. He chose to wait, not because it felt good, but because he knew who God is.
Today, I’m reminded that waiting isn’t wasted time—it’s holy ground. It shapes us, steadies us. Where are you waiting right now? Lift your eyes. Your God hears you, even in the quiet. Watch in hope. He’s coming through.
Let's pray today
Father, You see me here—waiting, hoping, sometimes stumbling. Thank You for being my Savior who never turns away. I lift my eyes to You, trusting You hear every whisper, every ache. You are faithful even when I waver, steady when my heart shakes. Teach me to watch in hope like Micah did—not with clenched fists, but open hands. Quiet my fears with Your presence. Remind me that You’re near, working even when I can’t see it. Lord, I believe You’ll answer; help my unbelief (Mark 9:24). Strengthen me to stand firm, to wait well, and to trust Your perfect timing. You are my God, and I’m Yours. Amen.
