Today's Verse: Matthew 6:33

"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Friends, I stand before you today with a fire in my soul! Picture a weary farmer, hands calloused, staring at empty fields, worrying about tomorrow’s harvest. He labors and strives, yet the rains don’t come. So many of us live this way—chasing the worries of life, running after food, clothes, and shelter. But Jesus, the King of Glory, declares a better way: Seek first God’s kingdom! This is the key that unlocks heaven’s storehouse.

What does it mean to seek His kingdom? It’s simple, yet profound—it’s putting God first in your heart, your time, your decisions. Not second, not third, but first! When you wake up, don’t reach for your worries—reach for His presence. Psalm 37:4 says, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” You see, God’s not playing hide-and-seek. He promises that when we run to Him, He runs to us with everything we need.

So how do you do this? Start your day with prayer. Lay that bill, that sickness, that fear at His feet. I once met a woman in Africa, poor as could be, yet her face glowed with joy. Why? She sought God first, and He filled her with peace no money could buy. What about you? Are you chasing shadows, or are you chasing the King?

Here’s the truth: God’s kingdom is not a suggestion—it’s your lifeline. Seek Him, and watch Him move mountains in your life. Will you trust Him today? I say to you, Heaven is ready to pour out blessings if you’ll just lift your eyes to the King!

Father in Heaven, we come before You with awe and love! You are the God who sees us, who knows our every need. We ask You now—teach us to seek Your kingdom first, above all else. Let Your righteousness fill our hearts. We declare Your promise: all these things will be added unto us! No fear can hold us, no lack can defeat us, for You are our Provider. We commit this day to run after You, trusting Your mighty hand to supply. Hallelujah, we stand in faith, knowing You will never fail us! Amen.
